Job Services Australia (JSA) is a Federal Government Employment Program that assists people on Government benefits to find and keep a job. JSA is offered at our Shepparton and Wangaratta sites.
Disability Employment Service is a Federal Government Employment Program that assists people on the Disability Support Pension or who have a significant diagnosed disability to find and keep a job at award wages. DES is offered at our Shepparton, Wangaratta, Bendigo, Wodonga, Echuca, Castlemaine and Seymour sites.

Worktrainers Update – New Disability Employment Services.
The First of March 2010 brings some significant changes to disability employment services in Australia.
Prior to the 1st of March, the Federally funded disability employment program has been capped so that only a set number of people could use the service. That has meant that disability employment providers such as Worktrainers have only been able to help a set number of people with a disability to find work. The demand for places in the program has exceeded the supply of places available due to this “capping” arrangement.
As a result people with a disability who need help to find award wage work could not get this type of much-needed assistance. As a consequence, they sometimes lingered on welfare payments when they could have been in productive work .
From 1 March 2010 all job seekers who are on the disability support pension or who have a diagnosed significant disability will be able to be assisted by Worktrainers to find and keep a job that is suited to their abilities.
Worktrainers is a member of The Work Group and has been getting people with disabilities into a award wage work for over 20 years.
