Support for the United Way Goulburn Valley Community Fund
The United Way GV Community Fund supports initiatives which have a positive impact in strengthening communities in the Goulburn Valley through facilitation, co-ordination and collaboration and to raise and invest funds in worthy community programs and services based on an analysis of community needs. Worktrainers supports the United Way Goulburn Valley Community Fund by providing an office and administration base rent free.
The United Way GV Community Fund is an independent, non-government public fund which relies on the generosity and good-will of the general public. At least eighty cents of every dollar invested in The United Way Goulburn Valley Community Fund is returned directly to help build a better community. Worktrainers has provided “Community Champions” who have championed planned payroll giving to the community fund. Many of Worktrainers staff have signed up to the “payroll giving” program, allowing a small fortnightly deduction to be made from their pay to United Way GV Community Fund.
Worktrainers provides practical Finance and Information Technology assistance to the United Way GV Community Fund by way of specialist Worktrainers staff providing such services at no cost to United Way GV Community Fund. Worktrainers CEO is on the “Planned Giving” sub committee of the United Way GV Community Fund. Worktrainers substantial “in kind” contribution allows the fund to keep its cost base down and maximise its payments out to deserving local causes.
