Worktrainers assistance for Job Services Australia Jobseekers.

Job Services Australia or JSA is a new Federal Government Employments service that commenced on the 1st of July 2010. The service assists people on Government benefits to find and keep a job. Job Services Australia replaces previous employment services such as Job Network and will provide new opportunities to receive one-on-one assistance and tailored employment services.

JSA offers simplified processes and streamlined services, to give job seekers increased flexibility and access to support and services that are relevant to their individual circumstances.

JSA offers personalised help and services that are better targeted to your needs and more access to training opportunities and work experience to help you find and keep a job.

Worktrainers will work with you one-on-one to help develop and enhance your skills for the job that’s right for you. We can give you advice on the best job search methods, career options and employment programs, as well as helping you prepare your résumé, enhance your interview technique or undertake skills development or professional training you may need to help you get and keep a job.

Our staff will get to know you and your individual needs, and will help you on your journey to employment. We will work with you to develop your own personal Employment Pathway Plan (EPP). Your EPP will set out your personal employment goals and the services and training you need to help you find and keep a job.

Worktrainers will work with local employers, community and health organisations, registered training organisations, federal, state, territory and local government and other organisations to help give you the right mix of training and skills development, based on your personal circumstances.

Worktrainers will provide you with access to personal computers with broadband internet access and printers at our sites. You can use these facilities to access the internet to undertake job seeking activities including updating and printing your résumé or searching and applying for jobs online.

If you are a job seeker interested in receiving help from Job Services Australia in most instances you should visit your local Centrelink office to register to receive assistance and ask to be referred to Worktrainers at either Shepparton or Wangaratta.
